Say Word

With You
Sometimes I don't know how to express myself
Like, I want to pour my heart out to you but
I can never find the right words to say
I wish I could look you in the eyes and
Say something like

Me and you sitting in the tree
          K-I-S-S-I-N-
                             Gee,
                                     I
Know we got that type love
With you always and forever on my mind
With me constantly worrying that we're
          Running out of time
'Cause I'm afraid that you'll find someone better
          Though I know I'll never
          Find anyone better
                               Than you?
          Is that even possible?
          Would God place on Earth,
          Two perfect pieces that fit
          My puzzled heart?
          Two perfect stars capable of
          Bringing light to my dark
                                 I highly doubt it
'Cause if there is a perfect love
           Then I've already found it

That love that gets me
Weak in the knees
At the sound of a name
That love that has
Sweating when it's 20 degrees
          Below zero
That love that gets me lost in deep thought
And tongue tied like
Susie selling she-sells at the she-sore
See just the thought of you
Gets my mouth in a bind

I've found that sitting in class listening
To gibberish, envisioning beauty, feeling like
I'm on cloud nine, smelling the sweetest of scents,
missing the softest of lips type love

I've found that you got me on a 24/7 glazed eyes,
Dazed mind, no I'm not high, but yes I'm floating in the sky
Type love

I've found that mama please let me borrow the car, I promise
We won't go far, just down to the park, of course we'll be home
before dark, I'm almost an adult but you treat me like a kid,
Mama I ain't a kid no more, and no I'm not talking back,
Man I didn't deserve to get slapped, I was just asking
To be with my girl type love

I've found that you mean the world to me, just wanting you
To sit with me, while I admire your being, wishing the world
Could see just half of what I'm seeing, maybe a quarter of what I'm feeling,
Or just a third of what I'm needing type love

But to keep myself from sounding like less of a man, I'll just say
That
I'm happy
              To be
                       With you
                                     My love
